Aviation Academy Students Will Connect With International Space Station

ISSAstronauts orbiting 220 miles above Earth in the International Space Station will discuss science and living in space with students from Aviation Academy in Newport News, Virginia on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. It will be 20 minute call from the astronauts where our students will interact with them while they are on board the space station. The event will be held at Aviation Acedemy in Newport News.  The students will talk with members of ISS Expedition 38.

This downlink event is part of a series with educational organizations in the U.S. and abroad to improve teaching and learning in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, or STEM. It is an integral component of Teaching From Space, a NASA project that uses the unique environment of human spaceflight to promote learning opportunities and to build partnerships with the kindergarten through 12th grade education community.
